SuDS for Schools Phase 2 – Ready to go!
We’re excited to launch Phase 2 of SuDS for Schools, bringing sustainable drainage solutions (SuDS) to even more school communities in Eastbourne and Hastings.
Building on the success of Phase 1, this next stage of the programme is fully funded, thanks to support from the Department for Education, Environment Agency, and Southern Water. With £890,000 secured, we’ll be working with local schools to design and install nature-based drainage systems that not only manage surface water, but also provide engaging green spaces and hands-on learning opportunities.
Between now and March 2027, we’ll be:
-
Working with 12 confirmed schools, with a few additional slots still available
-
Delivering interactive SuDS education and co-design workshops with pupils
-
Installing bespoke SuDS features designed for each school site
Delivery begins in January 2026, led by our expert partners: Our Rainwater (community engagement and design) and Meristem (detailed design and installation).
💡We’re looking for more schools to express their interest! While places are limited and schools must meet Department for Education criteria, we welcome enquiries from eligible schools. If you’d like to find out more, please contact us at:
