Mapped: Water Quality Survey Results and SuDS for Schools sites

You can access the results of water quality tests across the Blue Heart area on our Community Map. Between August and November, Strandliners carried out a citizen science pilot project to investigate local watercourses with community members. They recorded the colour, temperature, and speed of flow as well as levels of ammonia, phosphate and sediment in the water.

We have also added the locations of the schools that have been taking part in our SuDS for Schools programme to harvest rainwater, keeping it out of the drains during heavy downpours and recycling it for use on the school site. This helps the school be more sustainable and reduces surface water flooding.
