How to be prepared for disruption to your everyday life
There are growing calls for UK households to be ready and prepared for disruption to our everyday lives. This could be the impacts of extreme weather, disruption to power or water supplies for example. Having a plan and taking some simple steps to prepare can make us more confident to face these challenges.
The key thing is to have them in place before something happens.
Not everyone will be able to to prepare to the same extent. By doing what we can, we leave more capacity in the system to help those who can’t. By working together as neighbours and communities, we can prepare collectively and be ready to support those that need it.
Flooding (our focus) is just one potential challenge, but most of the steps you can take in advance apply to multiple scenarios. Visit the Prepare Campaign website to find out more.
