New Community Fund grants announced

We are delighted to support two new organisations with small grants from our Community Fund. Read our latest updates here.

The Pevensey and Westham Forest Garden is using their grant to run three weekend workshops over the summer and autumn of 2023, giving visitors of all ages the chance to be creative in an open and natural environment. Each workshop relates to a specific topic: Ponds, Trees and Planting, include creative craft activities using natural and sustainable materials, and a guided tour of the forest garden. The workshops explain forest gardening methods and its advantages, and support wider conversations about water and its role in the local environment. We’ll post details of each event when they’re confirmed.

Family Fun Gatherers, based at Langney Community Centre, are using their grant towards a day trip for local families to Bewl Water Reservoir. The trip gives participating families an opportunity to picnic, play and explore together with fun activities related to water and the natural world.

The Blue Heart Community Fund accepts applications for small grants (up to £500) at any time of year. Our larger grants (up to £5000) have a specific application ‘window’ each spring. Visit our Community Fund page to find out more. Check back here to see the latest Community Fund updates.
