Blue Heart Voices on tour

Our ‘Blue Heart Voices’ listening unit is on tour, visiting community venues around the project area as well as accompanying us to local events.

‘Blue Heart Voices’ features recordings of community members talking about their experiences and perspectives. We’ve also included soundscapes, and work from sound artists inspired by the theme of water.

The listening unit gives us a way to take these voices out to communities, rather than just sharing them online. It’s one of the ways we’re trying to get people to reflect (no pun intended!) about water, flooding and climate change.

We are still collecting individuals’ stories and opinions, and aim to spend some time with the unit at each venue to capture new voices.

If you’d be interested in ‘hosting’ the unit (for an agreed period, such as one week), please contact Eleanor by email: contact@blueheart.org.uk or WhatsApp/Phone: 07936 440074.

What can I listen to?

We put together a selection of short audio clips recorded during the project so far, and arranged them in six themes:

  • Understanding water
  • Community knowledge
  • Finding balance
  • Inspired by water
  • Stream of sound
  • Surprise me!
